Where Ken Stands

A plan for District 105.

Ken's priorities start with the kitchen-table issues this district shares, kept local and practical.

Bring Down the Cost of Living

Housing, groceries, and everyday costs are squeezing families across District 105. Ken will focus on the real, local cost-of-living pressures, not partisan fights.

In Raleigh, Ken will:
  • Fight for property-tax and cost-of-living relief for working families
  • Expand affordable housing, building on the $1.5M Ken already helped secure
  • Protect renters and first-time homebuyers
  • Cut waste and demand accountability for how our tax dollars are spent

Our Fair Share on Transit & Infrastructure

Matthews was promised the Silver Line light rail and got cut out of the county's transit plan. Ken fought that deal, and he'll fight for the infrastructure this district was promised.

In Raleigh, Ken will:
  • Deliver the fair share of transit and road investment Matthews and Mint Hill were promised
  • Fix the roads and infrastructure our growth depends on
  • Make sure new development pays for the roads, water, and schools it needs
  • Hold Raleigh accountable to the communities it represents

Safe, Strong Communities

Public safety is the job, not a slogan. Ken will back the first responders who keep our neighborhoods safe.

In Raleigh, Ken will:
  • Support and fully fund local police, fire, and EMS
  • Invest in mental-health and addiction resources that make communities safer
  • Keep our schools and neighborhoods safe
  • Work across the aisle on real public-safety solutions

Smart Growth That Fits Our Towns

Our towns are growing fast. Ken believes in responsible growth that protects the character of Matthews and Mint Hill while keeping housing attainable.

In Raleigh, Ken will:
  • Grow responsibly and protect the character of our towns
  • Make sure infrastructure keeps pace with new development
  • Give residents a real voice in growth decisions
  • Balance attainable housing with smart, planned development

Strong Public Schools

Every child in this district deserves a great public school, and Ken will stand up for the public education Raleigh has undercut.

In Raleigh, Ken will:
  • Fully fund our public schools and support our teachers
  • Oppose draining public dollars into unaccountable private-school vouchers
  • Expand career and technical training and apprenticeships
  • Keep decisions close to parents and local communities

Honesty & Accountability

In a seat defined by a broken promise, Ken's north star is simple: keep your word and answer to the voters, not to yourself.

In Raleigh, Ken will:
  • Be an honest, accessible voice, town halls and real communication
  • Protect the governor's veto and end one-party overreach
  • Put the district ahead of party games
  • Never switch on the people who elected you
